Al-Shabaab Launches Attack on Nuur Dugle Village in Southern Somalia

Al-Shabaab terrorists launched an attack on government forces in Nuur Dugle village, Middle Shabelle region, Somalia, in the early hours of Thursday, according to local media.
Direct clashes ensued between government forces and the terrorist group, with ongoing confrontations reported. Residents in the area also heard powerful explosions during the attack.
Somali military officials have confirmed their resistance against the attack, and the operation is currently underway.
The extent of damage caused by the attack and the ongoing battle between Al-Shabaab and the allied forces remains unclear.
This attack coincided with President Hassan Mohamud’s visit to Adan Yabaal district in the Middle Shabelle region on Wednesday, aimed at bolstering the mobilization of forces against Al-Shabaab.
In a separate incident, the Somali National Army reported the successful elimination of 20 Al-Shabaab militants in the village of Baraag Ali Gaduud, located in Harardheere town, Mudug region.
