New batch of Uganda-trained Somali soldiers to bolster Mogadishu security
President Mohamud also issued a banning on the carrying of weapons in Mogadishu streets

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on Friday visited Uganda-trained national army soldiers stationed at the Hiil-Weyne camp located between the capital Mogadishu and Balcad town.
Having received military-police training, the soldiers will be tasked with bolstering security in Mogadishu and contribute to countering terrorist activities.
Mohamud urged the soldiers to lead by example by performing their duties with vigilance and discipline.
Mohamud visited the camp after issuing an order banning the carrying of weapons along Mogadishu streets.
