PM Hamza Barre Visits Adan Yabal District to Uplift Troops’ Morale

Prime Minister Hamza Barre on Wednesday visited the command center of the Somali National Army in Adan Yabal district within the Middle Shabelle region to motivate the army amid the war against Al-Shabaab.
Accompanied by members of his Cabinet, representatives from the Somali Parliament, and military officials, the Prime Minister’s visit was conducted under heightened security measures.
Barre emphasized that his presence was intended to uplift the morale of both the army and the local population involved in the fight against Al-Shabaab in the Galmudug and Hirshabelle regional states.
During his time in the Middle Shabelle region, the Prime Minister will convene meetings with army commanders and regional leaders aimed at accelerating ongoing operations and providing moral support to both the armed forces and local militia groups.
This is the Prime Minister’s second visit to the Adan Yabal district, highlighting the Government’s commitment to the country’s liberation and security.
Somali President Hassan Mohamud has pledged to continue the military campaign against Al-Shabab until a conclusive victory is attained. For more than a month, the president has been stationed in the capital of Galmudug state, Dhusamareb, to personally oversee the operations aimed at eradicating the group.
