Somali authorities have launched a manhunt for two suspects accused of killing a Somali National Army (SNA) soldier in Mogadishu, offering a cash reward for information leading to their capture.

The Somali Police Force on Friday night released the names and images of the suspects, identified as Sadam Omar Abdisamad and Abdisaaq Ali Mohamed Aflow, who are accused of fatally shooting 25-year-old Aamir Ismail Ali on Feb. 14 in the capital.

Police believe the suspects are hiding in Mogadishu and have urged the public to assist in their arrest. A $10,000 reward has been announced for anyone providing credible information that leads to their capture.

“Anyone who provides information that helps in apprehending these individuals will receive a $10,000 reward,” police said in a statement.

Authorities have not disclosed further details about the motive behind the killing or the suspects’ potential affiliations.
