Puntland executes 13 terrorists after military court ruling
Six former Punltand soldiers were also executed on charges of murder.
Somalia’s Puntland State on Wednesday executed 13 Al-Shabaab and Daesh terrorists by firing squad after Puntland State Court of Armed Forces had sentenced them to death, according to local media.
The executions took place at 8.00 am in three different cities in Puntland – Galkayo, Bosaso and Garowe.
Six former soldiers were also executed alongside the terrorists after they were charged with murder bringing the total number of executions to 19.
Although largely active in south and central Somalia, Al-Shabaab is also active in some pockets of Puntland.
