Somalia's intelligence chief Mahad Salad calls for probe into killing of the official

The spy chief of Somalia’s southern region of Gedo Bakaal Kooke has been killed in a landmine explosion late on Thursday.
The explosion took place along the road connecting the towns of Luuq and Doolow in Gedo region.
Other security officers accompanying Kooke also died in the attack including the head of intelligence in Gedo region’s town of Beled Hawo Abdullahi Kiniini.
Al-Shabaab militants have claimed responsibility for the attack.
In a Twitter post, the director of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) Mahad Salad condemned the killing of Kooke and ordered the agency to investigate the official’s killing.
